I am taking this class because...

   Why I am taking this class you ask? I. Love. Movies. Between the cinematography, the aesthetics, the visual effects, and of course the plot, movies are just wonderful. They also serve as a form of escapism to me and every new one I watch still manages to amaze me. Not only do I love movies but it is my dream to make movies and be behind the camera, whether I play a big role or not, just to be able to work on a set of a film (or a television show), would truly, truly be a chance of a lifetime. I also think this class will be a good way to get exposed to the type of material I would study in college if I were to take a film course or even major in film. Over the past few years it has been my dream to work in the world of movie magic and I'm also just interested in all types of media in general. I was ecstatic to hear about this course when it was given as an option as an AICE Elective because not only will it help me fill my requirements to earn my Cambridge Diploma, but it will be a course that I will fully enjoy (which is rare for me in school). I hope to learn as much as I can about the field I may pursue a career in one day.
