Changes in Our Fonts

So, there's something I kept forgetting to mention in the past few blog posts and it's that my group and I actually had to change some of the fonts we were planning to use in the title sequence for our film opening. Melanie basically told us that her program for editing wouldn't take the fonts that we chose, so we had to choose them from another, specific font bank, Dafont.com. Fortunately, this was a change that occurred very shortly after we picked the initial fonts so it wasn't as big of a deal as it could have been.

First, here is the list of fonts that we originally narrowed down to, as I was finally able to upload the picture of them, which included Quita (the first one, for our title) and Kinuta Shin StdN (the second one, for the credits):

And here are the fonts that we actually ended up using in the final film opening:

Credits

The new font we chose for the title is called Pretty Shine, which although is not quite as "cursive-looking" as the original title font, is still fancy enough and as you can see, fits perfectly with the background on which it was meant to be placed over; the sky shot. Now the font for the the credits is named Sylfaen and is actually quite similar to the original credit font in that it is straight, narrow, and simple. This new one may actually be even simpler, which is good considering that our main concern for the credits was that the font might be too distracting or too complicated to be legible.
