Editing our Film Opening: Part 2

In regards to my group's film opening, we are still of course in the processing of editing.  We are currently experiencing some problems but I think it will turn out alright in the end.

As I have said previously in a blog post, Melanie (in the picture here) is the main editor for our opening, as she has all the software, skills, and experience that we need in order for this video to come together and look the way we would like it to. This is also her main contribution to the project as she was not able to join us in filming the actual footage for the opening.

Melanie is still trying to organize the footage and she has run into a bit of some issues  with trying to incorporate some of the music with the video clips, but we told her she can always just cut down the length of the audio clips to match the video because that part is more important and there is not a way that we can reshoot anything at this time. The part of editing dealing with the transitions has been the easiest so far as we are mostly using simple cuts.

Unfortunately, between the amount of other schoolwork that she (and all of us) have been getting and the SAT being today, Melanie hasn't gotten that much editing done in these past few days, which to some might seem like the end of the world. But I have hope that she will be able to, of course with our direction and assistance, finish editing all of it on time, especially because we actually recorded some of the clips within the first couple of tries, so there's not that much footage to go through, around 15 clips, and because we don't want to have that many video/audio effects or complicated transitions. So I'm sure that soon we can see some progress on our project and I'll be able to update you on this editing journey. I'm pretty sure we're done filming so we also did not do any additional filming.

Here are some pictures of the editing process so far:
